Goreme is a wonderful little town! My boyfriend and me stayed for 2 days and it was just enough for us. But we also had a lot of luck with the weather- we were able to do ballons and all. But there was plenty more stuff to do which you would definitely need more time for. The vibe is so different. We came beginning of March when there was very less tourists so it was very calm in the town. If you wanna roam around the other cities in Cappadocia you need a car or go with a Taxi or a guide, there is no efficient public transport ( at least we didn’t search enough to find it ). The same with the airport, you need to arrange the transport to Goreme yourself.

It is a must visit place.
It is a must visit place. Göreme's unique landscape, characterized by fairy chimneys and otherworldly rock formations, is a testament to the forces of nature over centuries. Exploring the valleys and canyons felt like stepping into a dream, with each turn revealing a new and surreal vista. The open-air museum, with its ancient cave dwellings and churches carved into the soft tuff rock, transported me back in time.

Great place to explore Cappadocia.
Great place to explore Cappadocia. We stayed 4 days and I think it is just the right length to properly visit the "must" places. There are definitely other things to do than flying in balloons, many of the walks are magnificent and for all levels. On the other hand, restaurant prices are excessive and much more expensive than in the rest of Turkey. This is a bit of a black mark, but it's definitely worth it to come here.

A must go to destination in Turkey - its just magical. I wish I could have stayed longer. I had two full days there, but wasn't nearly enough. I'd recommend you have at least 3 days minimum.

Hi, I booked Hot Air Balloon Tour, but the day I went in there I was told the tour was cancelled. Imagine travelling for 13 hours and learning that! Fortunately, I had planned to stay for 3 nights and could go there for the tour 2 days later. However, the price has doubled. Beware when booking a hot air balloon tour online.

Three days is more than sufficient.
Three days is more than sufficient. Do ask the locals about the hidden gems. our itinerary was Day 1 - Chill and walk around the town. Day 2 - Balloon ride, followed by an excursion to the ceramics and carpet-making cooperative, and Love Valley. Day three - Cappadocia: Full-Day Private Cappadocia Tour (offered by Get Your Guide).
There are plenty of food options and good coffee. Do a walk around the town in the evening and pet the dogs.
Han was so helpful at Arif Cave hotel! We arrived and were immediately given an overview of all the experiences/tours we could do so we could plan our stay. Staff were incredibly helpful and the facilities were beautiful! To me this truly seemed like one of the best hotels in Cappadocia and was such a great value. We would 100% stay here again if we make it back. The hotel has a great location, staff, facilities, and is a great value as well. I recommend the cave suite with the balcony and skylight if possible!
This family run cave hotel is in a great location close to the center of Goreme. The entrance is very nice and people stop by to take pictures there. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to help you. Cem, the owner, is super friendly and will help with arranging everything from airport transfer, tours, hot air balloon rides to hammam without any hassle. Breakfast is also great. My friend recommended the place to me and I will recommend it to anyone planning to visit Cappadocia. A great find!
This hotel is in a very good location with a nice view from the terrace and from our room. It is in a quite part of the town yet walking distance to restaurants etc. The staffs are very polite and always willing to help. They booked the balloon tour for us and helped to rebook it after the first one was cancelled. They provide water, tea, coffee 24-7 and breakfast is very good if you like Turkey's. We did not stay in a cave hotel because we like windows in the room especially this room with a view.
Highly recommend this hotel if you’re considering staying in Cappadocia. The hotel is not in a cave, but the location gives you a great view of the cave hotels, and there is a place on the rooftop to watch the hot air balloons. The hotel is located near a market, shops and restaurants. Bedrooms and facilities were clean and the photos reflect how the rooms are. The breakfast is amazing! The hotel night attendant was very friendly and attentive.
If you want to experience a cave hotel, this is one of better choices! Located in center of Goreme and in higher area of the town, visitors can view the rocks from terrace or walk up to viewpoint for sunset. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfasts every morning. Upon our arrival, the host and his staff were super friendly and provided sufficient info about day tours or Turkish night that we could select to join.
This was such an incredible hotel experience! The cave room was incredibly cozy and modern, and the staff was exceptionally helpful. It’s located on top of a hill so you have amazing views of the landscape and balloons. It’s also a little farther out from downtown Goreme so it’s not as loud or touristy. Finally, the breakfast was phenomenal. If anyone is visiting Cappadocia, I would recommend staying here.
Family-type small hotel close to center of Göreme, cave-like construction in a slope of sandstone rocky slope but made extremely comfortable combining local traditional elements (like carpets) and modern amenities (like Wi-Fi) Very friendly host speaks fluent English and helps with organizing your stay in Cappadocia to make the most out of your time spent here.
Location was great, turkish breakfast was great! Had a lovely cave hotel experience! The hotel managers were great and made us feel at home. They guided us and arranged our hot air balloon ride as well. Erol was especially very kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend this place; it's in the heart of Goreme! Everything is walking distance.
It’s a Good location and great place to stay. All staffs are kind and make us feel comfortable while we staying. Love the environment. Thanks to Mustafa and another Mustafa who helped us a lot. We do appreciate their support. What a lovely Hotel. I would recommend Hidden Cave Hotel to stay in Cappadocia. Bravo and Thanks.
Very nice cave hotel. Located in Göreme, close to all restaurants and shops on a hill, so you can enjoy the view in the early morning. For free is possible to use very nice terrace with pillows. Perfect for baloon watching. Breakfast was very tasty and varied. Staff very helpful, friendly and well english speaking.
Vista Cave Hotel is a great property. The owner is a gentleman who will help you with all your travel & tourist needs. Rooms, views, breakfast are all very good and highly recommended. It’s the first choice for your accommodation in Goreme. Thanks Senol, it was a pleasure to stay in your hotel.
Staff was really friendly. They helped to solve all our problems. Really helped about excursions, balloon flights, even then we ask to help with taxi to go to Uchisar Castle they delivered without charge.
If we’ll be back to Goreme definitely we’ll stay at Aydinli Cave hotel.
Lovely room in a dream setting, great views of Görome and close to town making this an ideal location. The staff were friendly and helpful. This was our second hotel in Cappadocia and it was far better than the first. you can’t go wrong with Turquaz Cave Hotel.
Very charming and cosy room in a cave hotel in the center of Goreme. It’s quiet, family run, and English speaking son Furkan does a great job to make you feel welcome. His dad speaks Japanese. Soft towels. Comfy beds and incredible breakfast included.
We enjoyed staying in the fairy chimney room. Mithra Cave Hotel also wonderful terrace with amazing views of the hot air balloons, great staff, and really convenient location.
Highly recommend visiting the Mithra Cave Hotel if in Cappadocia!
The staff was so helpful, and answered all our questions kindly. They have a great terrace where you can watch all goreme during sunset and balloons in the morning. If I go to Goreme again I would prefer the Karadut cave hotel.
Agree with the previous reviewers. Clean but not friendly staff, location next to a local road and parking so you might be woken up by noisy motorcycles. Not located in the old part of Göreme where real cave hotels are located.
Great cave hotel with spacious rooms, excellent service, and great views of balloons and sunset with perfect location in the heart of the city. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Cappadocia.
Good cave hotel steps away from goreme centre. Room was nice and warm during peak cold weather. Breakfast was small and simple but nice. Also they were helpful in arranging for tours and transport.
authentic, unique cave hotel room, beautifully furnished and decorated, great view from balcony, walking distance to downtown Goreme but removed from the hustle and bustle.
